Stepping into Schools
The last couple of days have felt easier in lots of respects: our routine is well established, we are learning to deal with the food and toileting situation and we have finally got into schools to start the work with LBQ.
I was fairly hesitant at first: how can a place so rural as Iewpomtia, Nongkrem, possibly have access to the internet? Strong enough for 25 devices? Well, it turns out 4g is good out here. So good that it worked.
The first thing to note is the children have impeccable manners and their uniform is pristine. Always.
For most of the children it is the first time they've used an electronic device like a tablet and so there has been a little bit of training required to ensure they can find their way around the device. They've picked it up quickly though.
Something which is universal is how much the children enjoy using LBQ, whether in the UK or rural North East India. It's very early days for this project but the signs are there that LBQ can be implemented as an effective tool.
